Talisker, one of North America's preeminent mountain resort operators (The Canyons Resort), and real estate developers, is seeking a Corporate Controller for its operations in Park City, Utah. The Corporate Controller is responsible for establishing, coordinating, and maintaining an integrated plan for the control of operations with regards to budgets, forecasts, and other aspects of the business for several entities and will ensure that Talisker has the systems and procedures in place to support efficient operations. The Controller will lead all day-to-day accounting operations and supervise a team of 12 staff members, including functional responsibility over general accounting and budgeting activities including: monthly consolidated financial statements, financial forecasting, balance sheets, budgeting, internal controls, cash management, and cash flow reports. The Controller will work closely with company leaders and their staffs, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures, but also to explore how the Accounting function can support the operations. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of accounting and finance experience, with a history of strong leadership, interpersonal skills and a thoroughness and attention to detail. Candidate must be proactive, and a hands-on strategic thinker and be technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations.
